BRIDGE Cultural Exchange Program - SWAT

The BRIDGE USA program offered me new challenges, opportunities, and most importantly--friendships that defined this chapter of my life. Immersed in a new environment, I had the chance to join the workforce, experience American culture, and engage with people from around the world.

I have learned so much being in a workplace like this, and the University of Baguio does not lie when they tell you they prepare you to become globally competitive, because I realized that they truly prepared me in aspects such as the workplace where I was able to adapt as a critical and creative thinker and continue learning as an active lifelong learner.

SWAT Program showed me on how diverse the cultures are. But I've learned how to deal and cope with it and that's how university of Baguio taught us on how to become more globally competitive, which makes me become resilient and adjust easily on the things that I need to deal with.

I've learned how to stay alert, respond fast, and handle responsibility in a professional setting. UB prepared me through swimming trainings and pre-deployment orientations and as a nursing student, I'm already equipped with life-saving skills which is CPR and first-aid.
