YLP inaugurated its First Annual Dedication Ball with the theme, “Pasigarbo: The Mission of Transformation Lived, Shared, and Sanctified,” where representatives from the UB Office of Student Affairs (OSA) and the UB Voices Chorale (UBVC) were invited exclusively to join.
The Dedication Ball was organized to celebrate the milestones of YLP and the friendship formed with its partners across the country. Moreover, awards and recognition were conferred on UB for its exemplary display of service and leadership to the organization.
YLP and its academe partners also held the official MOA Signing to commemorate the partnership.

One of UB’s premier performing arts groups, the UBVC, performed throughout various segments of the Ball, where they earned many accolades from the atendees and guests.

Members included in the UBVC’s lineup were well-represented by UBVC President Harold Deane Piog, UBVC Vice President Christian Jay-vi Acuña, UBVC Secretary Gabriel Bernabe Jamorabon, UBVC Treasurer Vanessa Bañas, Reuben David Supeña, Angelina Menguita, Aster Theresse Laigo, Faye Noreen Pacada, Geosemay Osalbo, Feona Maebel Estepa, Jeun De Leon, John Albert Cabradilla, Judel Vincent Tomelden, Mila Guinsad, Raian Geronimo Garcia, Raphael Garcia, Rayah Jahziel Tayag, and Regine Manggues.
They were also accompanied by staff members of OSA, namely Director Dr. Froilan Aspa, Ms. Sarah Jane Alos, Ms. Gemma Os-osa, Ms. Jeannie Concepcion, Mr. Denver Koby Soriano, and UBVC Chorale Master Mr. John Glenn Gaerlan.
Prior to the Ball, the representatives of UB, alongside YLP council members and other partners, embarked on an all-inclusive countryside excursion around the island province of Bohol.

The tour provided an immersive experience of the local lifestyle and culture of Boholanos. Visitors were treated to a tour of the historical Blood Compact Shrine and the impressive Baclayon Heritage Church. They also enjoyed a delightful culinary and scenic experience at the Loboc River Floating Restaurant and a serene walk in the Bilar Man-Made Forest. The tour also included seeing the adorable tarsiers up close at the Tarsier Sanctuary, and concluded by paying a visit to the world-renowned Chocolate Hills.
Since 2014, UB has always been invited as the sole academic institution in the Cordilleras to partake in YLP’s affairs, campaigns, and programs. The partnership is a means for strengthening the bond and relationship between both institutions.
UBVC has a well-established reputation for delivering outstanding performances, and its continued success can be atributed to UB’s unwavering support. Based on the positive remarks from previous events, the YLP organizers have expressed their profound desire to invite UB to participate in future events.
