Performing Arts

The Office of Student Affairs manages the different performing arts groups of the university.

There are five UB Performing Arts groups:

The UB Voices Chorale is the University’s acclaimed choir of the university. It has won numerous competitions here and abroad and performs in different activities in and outside the university.

The UB Graces is the modern dance troupe of the university and is a constant fixture in events for both the university and outside organizations.

Its ethnic counterpart is the UB Bibak-Ubbun-Kaafuan or the UBBUK. This group performs, teaches, and preserves the unique culture of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR). The dances it performs come from the different CAR provinces, namely, Benguet, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao, and Abra.

The UB Chamber Orchestra performs both classical and modern music arranged to be played by an orchestra. The group has a small rondalla component that plays classic Filipino music.

The Plug and Play band (formerly known as the Ruby Experiment pop music band), on the other hand, plays covers of popular music as well as retro music.

For any students interested in joining, simply watch out for recruitment announcements on Facebook and around the school or you can also inquire at the OSA for any openings.
