At the University of Baguio’s final flag ceremony of the year, members of the top management, faculty, and non-teaching staff gathered in a spirit of unity and pride to celebrate the remarkable accomplishments of the members of the university community. The morning’s assembly highlighted the dedication and hard work of students who excelled in their discipline, as well as the unwavering commitment of employees who continually contribute to the success of the institution. It served as a meaningful occasion to reflect on the year’s most recent milestones, fostering a shared sense of achievement and inspiring renewed commitment to the university’s vision of excellence.
Among the accomplishments recounted at the event were the recent victory of the School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) at the 17th Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Week 2024 and the triumphs of students from the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) at the Intellectual Property Circle 2024. The School of Law (SL) was also recognized for the performance of its students at the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IDOPHIL) Circle League: The Debate. The School of Nursing (SN) was also commended for its recent performance at the Nurse Licensure Exam, producing topnotcher Ms. Roselle Kayithrynne Celi (Top 10) and hitting an Overall Passing Rate of 94.44%, which surpasses the 85.01% National Passing Rate. The School of Information Technology (SIT) was also congratulated for their achievements at the Regional Rebolution 2024, securing the overall 1st Runner-Up spot among a slew of other secondary awards.







Dr. Stacy Ayson from STELA was also applauded for her recent success at the Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, garnering 2nd place in the Poetry Written for Children category. The university’s renewed Autonomous status was also highlighted by UB President Engr. Javier Herminio Bautista, which was formally given by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) at the Philippine International Convention Center last November 24, 2024.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the commendation of the staff members from the Campus Planning and Development Office (CPDO), all of whom were lauded for their exceptional honesty. These individuals were all credited with finding lost items all around campus, surrendering them to the concerned offices, and ensuring that they were returned to their rightful owners safe and sound.
