We, at the Research Innovation Extension & Community Outreach office, bring together the expertise of the Research and Development Center and the Extension and Community Outreach Services. Our mission is to spearhead and guide the entire university in research initiatives. In this capacity, we formulate diverse research policies and guidelines, strategize implementation, and offer crucial support to the university, including its faculty, staff, and students.

Our Mission
The University of Baguio educates individual to be empowered professionals in a global community. Research Innovation Extension and Community Outreach (RIECO) fosters a strong research and innovation culture to provide scholarly and relevant studies that benefit the society, and upholds sustainable outreach and extension programs to address societal concerns.
Our Objectives
In support of the university’s vision-mission and objectives, the Research Innovation Extension and Community Outreach aims to:
provide education, trainings and workshops on research, innovation, extension, and outreach towards skills enhancement pertinent to the profession;
establish beneficial relationships with stakeholders that promote competence and integrity through research, innovation, extension, and outreach programs;
collaborate with local, national and international partners in conducting research and innovation with highest ethical standards and responsive extension and outreach programs;
achieve measurable outcomes by applying acquired skills in research, innovation, extension, and outreach to drive tangible progress in social transformation and development initiatives;
implement sustainable community development and extension programs that are research based; and
promote the conduct of scientific and relevant community researches that would address diverse phenomena.
