Students from the University of Baguio Laboratory Elementary School (UBLES) showcased their exceptional abilities at the recently concluded 2025 Regional Marathon of Skills and Talents. Held on January 18, 2025, the annual event provides a platform for the students to demonstrate their capabilities in different creative competitions. This year’s theme was “ASMEPPS: Holistic Partner for a Stable, Blest, and Tranquil Future of Science and Mathematics Education.”
The event produced a total of fifteen champions and twelve runners-up across the different categories, highlighting the exceptional performance of the participants from UBLES.
Among the champions are Dean Dreigh Krayon Yra Tamayo (On the Spot Poster Making), Reienne Mirage Yra (News Writing – English), Xiara Bless Garnace (News Writing – Filipino), Aiah Tobias (Declamation), Ryu Matthew Dale Casis (On the Spot Poster Making), Jian Castielle Lacaba (Photo Journalism), Lailah Beatrice Tan (Science Feature Writing – English), Rain Yuan Satimbre (Song for the Environment), Krishna Mae Torres (Drawing Competition), Iana Psalmantha Catolico (Coloring Competition), Alyna Yves Bayawa (Scientific Creative Writing – English), Heiss Izek Simon (Scientific Creative Writing – English), Lhiam Pascua (Sci-Modeling), Violet Janapin (Drawing Competition), and Kacey Maryan Alcantara (Scientific Creative Writing – Filipino).
The runners-up consist of Dean Dreiugh Krayon Yra Tamayo (3rd Place – Dance for the Environment), Violet Janapin (2nd Place – Declamation), Peyton Kyrelle De Guzman (2nd Place – News Writing – English), Dean Zachary Vallejo (2nd Place – Coloring Competition), Maxine Yzzabel Wee (3rd Place – Declamation), Calyx Bienne Nacino (4th Place – Poem Delivery), Naomi Mishkaelle Gengania (3rd Place – Story Telling), Grace Antoinette Bagbagen (2nd Place – Story Telling), Kylie Rafaelle Madayag (2nd Place – Science Feature Writing – English), Yssabella Yoy Santos (2nd Place – Story Telling), Jeraine Macie Gatchalian (5th Place – Poem Delivery), and Yahnis Rein Fucasan (2nd Place – Story Telling).
The students and their mentors will now be preparing for the national-level competition.
