As the 33rd Southeast Asian (SEA) Games came to an end, which ran its course from December 9 to 20, 2025, the University of Baguio waved the flag of victory high as the institution and community celebrated the skill and dedication of its homegrown alumni athletes.

December 13, 2025: Bronze Medal – Women’s Boxing; 63kg division

December 17, 2025: Gold Medal – Muay Thai | Women’s Combat; 45kg division
December 17, 2025: Bronze Medal – Muay Thai | Women’s Waikru Individual; 45kg division

December 19, 2025: Silver Medal – Women’s Boxing; 50kg division

December 19, 2025: Gold Medal – Men’s Boxing; 80kg division
Featuring 11 countries and an overall count of 1,500 Philippine athletes representing the flag of red, white, and blue at Chonburi and Bangkok, Thailand, the Olympic tally finishes with the Philippines garnering a total of 260 medals (Gold: 58, Silver: 86, Bronze: 116). Albeit coming short of securing a spot within the top five overall results, the historic win from the Philippines’ run in the 2025 SEA Games tally brings forth renewed competitiveness.


Seeing the talents and skills showcased by Filipino sportsmen and women, from the courts and pools to the fields and virtual arenas, not only contributed to the country’s expanding sports heritage but also sparked new hope for upcoming international events.

Representing the Philippines as they meticulously advanced and won in their respective categories in the ultimate showdown of athleticism and dedication to the craft and sport! As our homegrown alumni and Olympians join the winner’s circle along with notable athletes like EJ Obiena and Alexandra Eala (with an honorable finish to Hidilyn Diaz-Naranjo).
