The University of Baguio Bibak Ubbun Kaafuan (UBBUK) Cultural Group, under the leadership of Mr. Benicio Sokkong, was invited by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) for the celebration of the 2023 National Arts Month. Throughout the celebration, UBBUK had relevant roles during the series of events that took place.
The program kicked off with a powerful performance by UBBUK during the Opening Ceremony. Moreover, an afternoon of Parallel Workshops ranging from Dramatic, Literary, and Visual Arts to Cinema, Dance, and Music was very well attended by the public. Among the workshops was the “Kawayan at Gangsa: Cordillera Indigenous Music and Dance” where UBBUK exhibited various Cordilleran musical instruments.
The day ended with a culminating concert that featured Halili-Cruz Dance Company, Para Dansport National Team, Sindaw Pilipinas, Tanghalang Bagong Sibol, SB19, Joey Ayala at Ang Bagong Lumad, together with our university’s cultural group.
The UniversityOfBaguio, through the Office of Student Affairs, greatly extends our appreciation and gratitude to NCCA for inviting us to be part of this celebration 
The 2023 National Arts Month with the theme “Ani ng Sining, Bunga ng Galing” was spearheaded by the NCCA. The ceremony was held last February 12, 2023, at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium.
