The University of Baguio is once again gearing up to welcome back the accreditors from the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) for a new round of accreditation. This time, a total of four programs will be entering the preliminary phase, including: Bachelor of Physical Education, Bachelor of Engineering Technology, Doctor in Business Administration, and Kindergarten.
Five programs will also be undergoing reaccreditation. The Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Criminal Justice with Specialization in Criminology programs will be undergoing their Level II 1st Reaccreditation. The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology program will be undergoing its Level II 2nd Reaccreditation, while the Bachelor of Science in Criminology program will be undergoing the Level IV 1st Reaccreditation.
Accreditation is a crucial step to ensuring the quality and excellence of higher education institutions in the Philippines. It ensures that UB is able to keep up with the demands of the academic world and adheres to national and international standards. Furthermore, it provides better opportunities for students, allowing them to make full use of their educational degree to have a competitive edge in job placements and further studies.
The accreditation program will be taking place on February 11 and 12, 2025.
