The University of Baguio Music Society from the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) in partnership with the Lyric Opera of the Philippines and The Forest Lodge at Camp John Hay will be hosting a Voice and Piano masterclass at the UB Centennial Hall this upcoming October 11, 2024.
Featuring Tenor Mr. Randy Gilongo, MM and Mr. Peter Porticos, Ph.D of of the UST Conservatory of Music, both events will be delving into the intricacies and techniques of vocal and piano performance to elevate performance and aiming to elevate participants’ artistry and technical mastery. Attendees will have the unique chance to engage with these highly esteemed mentors, gleaning professional insights that will refine their vocal delivery and piano interpretation.
The Voice Masterclass will also feature participants from the BA Music voice students of Tenor Mr. Emmanuel Aller and the classical singers of Baguio City, while the Piano Masterclass will be featuring participants from the BA Music piano students and several selected pianist from Baguio City.
The workshop will culminate in Piano Voce: A Recital-Concert of Masterclass Participants. Set to be held at the FGB Hall of the university, the recital will be featuring special performances by the distinguished Lyric Opera of the Philippines and other renowned classical music artists, gracing the evening with their passion and skill.
