The University of Baguio, through the Center for Counseling and Student Development (CCSD), successfully conducted Job Fair 2026 on May 6, 2026, at the UB Cardinals Gym. Carrying the theme, “Subscribed to CCSD L-Series: #BeJobReadyUBians2.0,” the activity provided graduating students and alumni with opportunities to connect with companies and government agencies from different industries.

Organized in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), the event aimed to help students transition from academic life to the professional world by giving them direct access to recruitment opportunities and career-related government services.

The event gathered 13 participating companies and agencies that collectively offered 443 job vacancies across various fields and industries. Among the participating companies were Binondo Food Corporation, Gallopvision Services Inc., Global Agility Solutions, LLC, Laus Group of Companies, Pronto Distributor Marketing Services Inc., St. Frances Cabrini Medical Center Inc., TDK Philippine Corporation, Technodream Web Designs, Inc., Toyota – Baguio City, Zest-O Corporation, Baguio City Police Office, Army Recruitment Luzon, and the Bureau of Fire Protection. Government agencies such as SSS, PhilHealth, PAG-IBIG, Civil Service Commission, and Professional Regulation Commission also participated in the event by providing help desk services and employment-related assistance to attendees.

Graduating students from different schools and programs of the University, alumni, UB employees, and visitors from nearby institutions also participated in the job fair, reflecting the University’s continuing effort to extend career opportunities beyond the campus community and promote inclusive access to employment opportunities for different sectors.

The UB Job Fair as a sustainable initiative

More so, the event supported the attainment of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth through employment opportunities and career readiness initiatives; SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities by promoting inclusive access to recruitment opportunities and government services; and most notably, SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals through the strong collaboration among the University, government agencies, and industry partners in empowering UBians toward meaningful and sustainable employment.

Through initiatives such as Job Fair 2026, the University of Baguio continues to strengthen its role in bridging education and industry by fostering meaningful partnerships that create opportunities, promote inclusive growth, and empower UBians to become competent professionals ready to contribute to society and the global workforce.
