The evening was electric and full of anticipation as the candidates for this year’s Mr. and Ms. UB (MMUB) pageant took to the stage for the Grand Coronation Night at the UB Cardinals Gym last April 25, 2025. Twenty stunning young men and women, representing seven different schools from the university, left the crowd breathless and eagerly awaiting who would be proclaimed as the darlings of the evening.
The Grand Coronation Night served as the culmination of a long and challenging road for all contestants involved. Spearheaded by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), the journey began in February with the Sashing Ceremony and Opening Press Conference. The Pre-Pageant followed in March and the Intellectual Ability Conference in early April. Each event was designed to showcase the beauty, talent, and intelligence of every contestant as they vied for the coveted winning title.
Ms. Asia Ciano (SHS, STEM) clinched this year’s title of Miss UB, while the title of Mr. UB went to Keorrow Ken Klister Sabio (BSTM-IT, 3rd Year) following a slew of secondary awards that further cemented their spots as the crown-holders for this season.
As they stepped forward to receive their sash and crown, the 2024 Ms. and Ms. UB, Jose Rafael Warren VII (STELA) and Patris Raquel Balajadia (SON) stood alongside them and gracefully passed on this season’s title onto their successors.
Following closely behind them as the 1st Runner-Up titleholders are Mr. Gabrielle Luis Batalla (BS PSYCH, 2nd Year) and Ms. Nicole Antonette Tilap (BSN, 4th Year). In the 2nd Runner-Up spots were Mr. Steve Justin Andres (BSN, 1st Year) and Ms. Sidney Rayne Atluna (DMD, 4th Year). Coming in 3rd Runner-Up was Mr. John Bernard Tavermin (DMD, 5th Year) alongside Ms. Kyle Jaize Suguitan (BFSC, 3rd Year). Rounding out the winner’s podium were Mr. Lee Wyatt Banas (BSBA-OM, 2nd Year) and Ms. Erika Paris Latawan (BSIT, 1st Year).
