University of Baguio Welcomes Urdaneta City University in Benchmarking Visit

The University of Baguio warmly welcomed delegates from the Urdaneta City University (UCU) on October 11, 2022 for a benchmarking visit to learn some of UB’s best practices.

Delegates from UCU got to learn some strategies and best practices from UB’s academic council and got to visit some of UB’s facilities to gain a better understanding on how they could run their university as administrators.

UCU delegates also got to have a one on one with their UBian counterparts and exchange ideas and gain more insight on their respective roles either as deans, school executives, program chairs, or directors. the delegates got to spend this one on one sessions in the centennial hall where an open forum was also held.

UB’s academic council along with members of the administration headed by the VPAA were present to teach their UCU counterparts, some time was also given to them to roam the school grounds.

  • Dr. Raquel Pascua, VP of Administrative Affairs
  • Ms. Easter Belandres, director for Center for Quality Management
  • Sir Joseph Barrozo, director for Institutional Planning and Development
  • Dr. Nhorly Domenden, director for Center for Student Leadership and Development
  • Dr. Jerry Dichoso, director for Center for Community Development and Extension Services
  • Dr. Ryan Jason Delos Reyes, Dean of College of Teacher Education
  • Sir Joseph Miranda, Dean of College of Criminal Justice Education
  • Sir Johanns Rabago, Dean of College of Information Technology Education
  • Ms. Jovelyn De Leon, Acting Librarian
  • Respective Program chairs of CTE, CCJE, and CITE

UCU delegates were recently appointed their positions this February 2022 with the coming in of the newly elected city officials of the recently concluded elections hence why their need for a benchmarking visit. The University of Baguio was chosen by UCU due to its track record of producing board passers and top notchers among many other successes it has.
