The Extension and Community Outreach Services of University of Baguio helps out students in Tapsan Elementary School with donations. This educational donation drive is in collaboration with other schools in UB with the common goal of extending help and sharing resources to ensure quality education for all.

Last March 11, 2022, the University of Baguio, Extension and Community Outreach Services through the concerted efforts of SBAA, SEA, SIT, SN, SNS, and Laboratory Elementary School have generously extended help to the pupils of Tapsan Elementary School located at Barangay Saes, Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet.

The Library Department likewise gave out books in order to enrich the learning materials of the school for the pupils to utilize as well.

Through a simple informal meeting, the school ECOS coordinators and representatives met up with the youth members of Circle of Hope, a cause-oriented group from Itogon Benguet for the turn-over of hygiene kits, school supplies and books.

This meaningful event would not have been possible without the initiative of the group of young professionals, some of whom are alumni of the university, who sought assistance from UB  on behalf of the pupils of the elementary school.

Indeed, this is again a testimony of the University of Baguio’s objective to advocate sustainable programs for the community and the environment by supporting the cause of its graduates.

UB Bikers Event: Promoting Wellness and Making a Difference

The University of Baguio (UB) recently held the UB Bikers event, a fundraising activity aimed at supporting various causes while promoting a healthy lifestyle. With the participation of bikers from different organizations, including esteemed guest Baguio City Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, the event showcased the community’s commitment to making a difference. Children, teenagers, and alumni of UB, along with faculty and students, came together to contribute their efforts and create a positive impact. STELA & SBAA Join Forces in Promoting the Welfare of Visually Impaired Individuals

Visually impaired members of the V.I.P.P.D. attended a lecture-consultation by STELA and SBAA. The goal was to assist them in managing their finances and business sustainably. Dr. Candido Perez discussed entrepreneurship, while Mr. John V. Balanquit talked about personal finance. Attendees had the chance to ask about maintaining a business, effective product marketing, and finding reliable suppliers.
