The University of Baguio always endeavors to bring new opportunities to its students, bridging the gap between the academe and organizations that can support them on their journey to become globally competitive professionals. In keeping with this goal, UB was thrilled to welcome visitors from the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Alliance Française de Manille for an enlightening information session with UB High School and Science High School students.

The session aimed to impart key information regarding the opportunities for studying in France. From learning the language to applying for visas and choosing their ideal higher education institution, the gathering looked at the educational prospects available for incoming university and college students looking to broaden their horizons and experience something new and exciting.

Following an invigorating welcome address by UB President Engr. Javier Herminio Bautista, the university exchanged tokens with the esteemed guests before transitioning into an informative series of presentations that delved into the processes involved in applying for scholarships to study in France. The guests, Mr. Adam Folleas (Officer for Higher Education and French Language of the Embassy of France to the Philippines and Micronesia), Victor Petit (Deputy Director of the Alliance Française de Manille), and Paulo Udano (Education and Communication Manager of Campus France Philippines) all spoke at length about the opportunities of studying abroad, encouraging the students to pursue greater heights for their education.

The meeting was incredibly productive and insightful, offering the students a glimpse into the opportunities available to them. The esteemed visitors highlighted not only the academic and professional advantages but also the cultural enrichment that could come with experiencing life in a different country.

This information session marked another significant step in UB’s commitment to building globally-empowered learners, underscoring the university’s ongoing efforts to equip students with the knowledge and resources needed to navigate an ever-evolving world. The collaboration with the Embassy of France and Alliance Française de Manille demonstrated UB’s dedication to fostering international partnerships, further solidifying its role as a forward-thinking institution that prioritizes the holistic development of its students.
