January 28, 2026 – The University of Baguio (UB) once again welcomed back the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), Inc., reaffirming its commitment to balanced, quality education and continuous academic development through the accreditation of several of its core programs.
Accreditation is integral for ensuring that educational institutions are meeting industry standards and delivering quality academic services that meet the needs of students. A successful accreditation indicates a university’s competence in delivering on its goals and objectives, and a successful reaccreditation indicates continued quality assurance in service delivery for these already recognized programs. Currently, the university has a total of 34 PACUCOA accredited programs.

The full accreditation schedule took place from January 28 to 30, 2026, including various scheduled activities such as a campus tour of the various departments and offices, and meetings with selected students, faculty, non-teaching personnel, and alumni.
The 2026 PACUCOA accreditation visit reaffirms UB’s unwavering dedication to upholding its position as a world-class academic institution. By securing accreditation across its diverse array of programs, from foundational kindergarten classes to advanced doctoral studies, the university demonstrates its commitment to nurturing lifelong learners who can navigate their community with confidence and ease.
