UB Procurement Team levels up for a sustainable future

The University of Baguio’s Procurement Office is stepping up its commitment to sustainable and ethical practices. On September 4, 2025, the entire team attended a webinar focused on “Procurement Sourcing & Winning Negotiations” a key part of the university’s mission to deliver timely, cost-effective, and high-quality resources to its community.

This training session directly supports several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals. By strengthening its skills in strategic procurement, the team is better equipped to partner with ethical suppliers and ensure the university’s purchasing decisions contribute positively to a global development agenda.

Led by Engr. Elaine ACN Malano from CSF Creative Training and Management, the workshop provided practical strategies on smart sourcing, risk management, and winning negotiations.

Together, the Procurement Office remains committed to making every purchase a step toward a more responsible, inclusive, and sustainable future for the University of Baguio and the community it serves.
