Chamber Orchestra and Rondalla

The University of Baguio Chamber Orchestra (UBCO) was founded on February 17, 2010, by music director Mr. Nelson Polvoriza and the Office of Student Affairs. In August 2017, they also formed the University of Baguio Rondalla (UBR), with Mr. Polvoriza as the conductor.
Both the UBCO and the UBR work with a wide range of music; from classical to pop, folk to new Filipino music, they instill a love of music in their students and foster awareness of its various features and genres. Through meticulous training, they hope to foster togetherness and devotion while also increasing character and maturity with each performance. The Chamber Orchestra and Rondalla are committed to developing their members’ abilities so that they can perform professionally.
Voices Chorale

The University of Baguio Voices Chorale is the university’s official choir group, having been in existence for over 61 years. Mr. John Glenn Gaerlan, artistic director and conductor, currently leads the ensemble, which has qualified for both national and international contests, earning numerous awards and distinctions.
The UB Voices Chorale was created to market the university; in its early days, the skills of its members served as a vehicle for connecting with the public and providing a platform to improve the university’s relationship with the general public. Today, the ensemble is a model of discipline and artistic quality. Its members are highly skilled, having been taught to be the best of the best, earning them international acclaim.
The UB Voices Chorale continues to nurture extraordinary young artists by providing them with the opportunity to perfect their profession alongside their academic education.
