The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) officially recognizes the University of Baguio (UB) as an Autonomous University, reinforcing its unwavering commitment to providing balanced quality education at every level. This significant milestone was awarded at a ceremony held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
Representing the university at the event were UB President Engr. Javier Herminio Bautista, Vice President for Administration (VPA) Atty. Rommel Ayson, and Quality Assurance Office (QAO) Director Dr. Kareen Leon. Alongside officials from the University of the Cordilleras (UC) and Saint Louis University (SLU), the UB delegation embodied the pride of the university on a national stage.
As it continues on its journey to nurture service-driven graduates with competence and integrity, the University of Baguio will strive to live up to the standard of excellence that other higher education institutions around the world are held to. Its autonomous status not only cements its position as a premiere academic center in the north, but also reinforces the university’s goal to serve the greater community.
Congratulations to the UB community for the achievement!
