Demonstrating journalistic flair, adaptability, teamwork, and dedication, student journalists from the University of Baguio Science High School (UBSHS) delivered a commendable performance at the 2026 Campus Vibe / Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) held on September 11–12, 2026, at the Schools Division Office Baguio Training Hall and the Baguio SPED Center.

Beyond the students who received awards and placements, UBSHS also recognizes the other student journalists who participated in the competition. Their willingness to step forward, prepare, compete, and represent the school is itself an achievement worthy of recognition. Each participant faced the pressure of competition, challenged their abilities, learned from the experience, and gave their best effort. In this sense, every UBSHS campus journalist who participated is a winner, because journalism is measured not only by medals and rankings but also by courage, perseverance, growth, and the willingness to use one’s voice to inform and serve others.

This achievement supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 by providing quality education, as it emphasizes developing relevant knowledge, skills, and competencies among learners. Through campus journalism, UBSHS students strengthen communication, critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, media literacy, and responsible information-sharing skills.

By giving students opportunities to compete, learn from experience, and express their voices, the school supports a quality education that prepares young people to participate meaningfully and responsibly in society.
