The University of Baguio once again marks a notable triumph in its pursuit of academic perfection after receiving deputization from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for twelve (12) programs under the Expanded Tertiary Learning Equivalency and Accreditation Program (ETEEAP).
A program signed into effect via Executive Order No. 330 by former president Fidel Ramos, ETEEAP is an alternative to traditional higher education. Rather than requiring applicants to attend classes on a standard schedule, it works off of a system that takes into account their work experience and skills. As long as applicants have at a minimum a high school diploma, they can complete a college degree under the ETEEAP.
As per Commission en Banc Resolution No. RO31-2026, dated February 27, 2026, the UB officially gained the approval of CHED for its application for deputization. As of March 2026, the official programs recognized and offered under the ETEEAP are:
- Bachelor of Science in Business Administration majors in
- Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management with Specialization in Professional Culinary Arts
- Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management with Specialization in International Hotel and Business Operations
- Bachelor of Science in Criminology
- Bachelor of Arts in English
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
- Bachelor of Arts in Communication
- Bachelor of Arts in Political Science
- Bachelor of Elementary Education
- Bachelor of Secondary Education majors in
- English
- Math
- Social Studies
- Filipino
- Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
- Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management
