The University of Baguio continues to bring convenience closer to its students and employees as it hosted an on-campus physical consultation with the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) and the National ID program from October 20 to 24, 2025, spearheaded by the Human Resource Management Center (HRMC).
This week-long initiative aimed to make essential government services more accessible to the university community, helping students and staff process important documents without the need to go off-campus. The University of Baguio remains steadfast in its mission of fostering holistic development and public service, extending its role beyond academics toward community empowerment and accessibility.
On-The-Go Service Initiatives For the UB Community
From October 20 to 24, representatives from the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) were present at the university to assist with inquiries, new registrations, and updates for the National ID. Meanwhile, the PSA held a one-day consultation on October 20, offering key civil registry services such as birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates, and certificates of no marriage (CENOMAR).

Accessible Service For Better Community Engagement
Aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, this collaboration highlights the importance of inter-agency cooperation in promoting inclusive progress. It also reinforces the university’s advocacy for good governance, public service, and community engagement, reflecting its institutional stewardship in supporting both local and national development goals.
By bridging the gap between the community and government services, the University of Baguio continues to serve as a model institution that champions convenience, education, and civic responsibility, demonstrating that accessibility to public service can also be a powerful form of education.
