The University of Baguio (UB) once again proves its mettle as a trailblazer in quality education, earning national recognition from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) as one of the awardees at the prestigious Excellence in Quality Assurance in Teacher Education (EQUATE) Awards.

The awarding ceremony was held on April 2, 2025, at the historic Manila Hotel, bringing together the country’s top-performing Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) to celebrate excellence in pre-service teacher training.

The EQUATE Award highlights UB’s consistent compliance with CHED’s standards and its impressive performance in the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT).

Emerging from a competitive pool of 1,553 Teacher Education Institutions (TEIs) across the country, the University of Baguio was named one of only 120 top-performing institutions—reinforcing its stature as a pillar of transformative and future-ready teacher education in the Philippines.

This accolade affirms UB’s unwavering pursuit of excellence in teacher education. As Philippine education faces challenges, UB stands as a beacon of transformative leadership—committed to inspiring change and nurturing minds for generations to come.
