The University of Baguio is once again gearing up for the 2025 Session Road in Bloom, one of the highlights of the Panagbenga Flower Festival. Held during the last week of February after the Grand Floral Float Parade, the event involves the closure of Session Road to vehicular traffic, allowing pedestrians to walk up and down the city’s main thoroughfare and explore the different booths that will be set up after the parade. The event has become a highly-anticipated part of the month-long festival, and different organizations and businesses participate in the event to promote their services and goods.
UB has been participating in Session in Bloom since 2009. The first few outings were spearheaded by School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) and focused on showcasing the culinary and food and beverage skills of the students.

In the following years, the focus shifted to encompass the entirety of the university; instead of revolving around a single school, the booth now extended informative services on the university’s different departments and programs. It also served as a place where students and other enthusiasts can purchase official merchandise. Despite facing challenges with the COVID-19 Pandemic, the university has successfully continued the history of UB with Panagbenga through the continued participation in the event.

The UB Booth of today is the result of the combined efforts of the SIHTM, the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA), the School of Criminal Justice and Public Safety (SCJPS), the Campus Planning and Development Office (CPD), and the Linkages Office. This year’s concept follows the theme of “Blossoms Beyond Boundaries”; with the physical venue being inspired by international architecture and the decoration leaning into nature and themes of sustainability.
Symbolically, the booth also embodies the university’s goal of building globally-empowered professionals that can transcend global boundaries. Through its different international ties, student placement, cultural, clinical, and academic exchange programs, the university ensures that its students can reach their full potential. Like flowers blooming in the spring, their skills are able to reach their full potential through the university, ensuring that they are able to face the challenges of the modern world with ease.
UB embraces the future and transcends global borders through its upcoming pop-up booth. Look forward to an exciting week with UB at Panagbenga!
