On January 27, 2025, The Baguio Country Club became a vibrant hub of cultural exchange as it hosted a special event welcoming our city Mayor and esteemed European Delegates along with their spouses. This gathering aimed to strengthen International ties and celebrate the rich musical heritage of the Philippines. The evening featured the University of Baguio Rondalla and Guitar. who serenaded guests with a captivating mix of traditional and modern songs, setting a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflected the spirit of Baguio City.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome from the event organizers and our City Mayor, Benjie Magalong, who expressed gratitude to the delegates and their spouses for visiting Baguio. It highlighted the significance of fostering relationships between Baguio City and its European counterparts, emphasizing the shared values of culture, hospitality, and friendship.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the performance by the University of Baguio Rondalla and Guitars. The ensemble captivated the audience with a delightful repertoire that included traditional Filipino folk songs alongside modern classics. Their harmonious melodies filled the air, creating an enchanting ambiance. In addition, a talented guitar ensemble took center stage to present two special songs, further showcasing the diverse musical talent in our community. Guests were visibly engaged, even joining in on some familiar tunes, enhancing the sense of camaraderie.
