The University of Baguio played a significant role as a knowledge partner in the 15th International Association of Scientists and Researchers (IASR) International Conference held from August 23-25, 2024, at the Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, University of Delhi. The conference brought together professionals, experts, and scholars in forensic science to discuss the latest advancements, technologies, and best practices.

In partnership with international and national organizations such as the Sherlock Institute of Forensic Science (SIFS) India and Clue4 Evidence Forensic Lab, the University of Baguio contributed to the event’s success, showcasing its global commitment to advancing forensic science. Dr. Charesma Grace Killip Lud-ayen of the University of Baguio was an integral part of the organizing body, ensuring the smooth execution of the conference and contributing to its academic and professional rigor.

Keynote Address on Domestic Violence

Dr. Lud-ayen served as a keynote speaker, delivering an insightful presentation on “Understanding Domestic Violence Perpetration Among Incarcerated Individuals,” where she discussed the psychological, social, and environmental factors contributing to domestic violence among incarcerated individuals.

Dr. Lud-ayen’s dedication and contributions to the field were recognized at the conference, where she was awarded the Forensic Excellence Award. This accolade highlighted her innovation, leadership, and significant impact on forensic science, setting a standard of excellence in the field.
