The University of Baguio has been inducted into the Hall of Fame of the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) following more than two decades of partnership. For over twenty years, the university has committed to promoting the spirit of altruism and volunteering through blood donation.
The University of Baguio started its partnership with the Philippine Red cross in 1998 to address the growing demand for blood in the community. The university’s founders, Dr. Fernando Bautista and Rosa Bautista, led the blood donations campaign alongside members of the Administration, Faculty, and Student Body, fostering the spirit of volunteerism through the act of donating blood.
At present, UB has collected more than 1,831,950 cc of blood for the community.
The university continues to support the Philippine Red Cross through its Baguio City Chapter, lending its aid in fund generation campaigns and other integral health services for the community.
Congratulations to the UB Community!
