The University of Baguio (UB) international on-the-job trainees have successfully concluded their six-month internship at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong (GHHK), where they gained valuable experience across various departments of the luxury hotel.

Bringing with them the Filipino hospitality, the students exemplified service excellence throughout their training. This international exposure not only broadened their cultural understanding but also enhanced their adaptability in a global environment.

The partnership with GHHK is a testament of the School of International Hospitality and Tourism Managementโ€™s (SIHTM) commitment to cultivating leaders in the industry. Remarkably, the UB interns were the only Filipino trainees at the hotel, highlighting the unique opportunity they received.

Before returning to the Philippines, the students paid a courtesy visit to Vice Consul George Soriano of the Philippine Consulate General on September 19. During this meeting, they shared insights and experiences from their time in Hong Kong reflecting on how the internship has shaped their perspectives as global citizens.

The trainees were assisted by Ms. Aya Adriela Culaton, SIHTM Deanโ€™s Office Staff, in their exit activities. This experience marks a significant milestone in the studentsโ€™ professional journeys, as they are being equipped with skills essential for their future careers in the hospitality and tourism industry.
