Championing the love for sportsmanship and athleticism, the University of Baguio held the 2025 College Intramurals on October 2, 2025, to showcase the different talents, skills, and charismatic energy that the UBian community is known for. Celebrated at UB Cardinals Gymnasium, revering the theme of this year: #LOVEUB, ASIAN CIVILIZATION, the whole-day event comprised different activities and competitions, having students from the various departments within the institution compete in creativity and pure vivacity in bleacher cheering, athlete showcase, cheering booth exhibitions, creative mascot representations, and many more.

Opening with vibrant cheers and a parade of athletes along Mr. and Ms. UB, each department performed with pride and commitment, representing their school name/departments and holding their names up high in the ultimate showdown. Each team is led by lively muses, creatively themed mascots, and accompanied by the men’s and women’s basketball division teams.
Welcoming students and leading the event was addressed by Atty. Rommel P. Ayson, Vice President for Administration, followed by an inspirational anecdote given by Mr. Karl Mico D. Alangui, President, Baguio Benguet League of Arnis Developers, Enthusiasts, and Supporters (BBLADES).

Alumni athletes were also present during the opening program. Carrying out the oath of sportsmanship to participants, Ms. Islay Erika Bomogao, International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) World Champion, and Claude Magno Camit, Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 50 Rookie, commencing the torchlighting ceremonies; sharing their presence in the limelight and serving as an inspiration for the never-ending commitment to excellence and athletic heights that every UBian is destined for.
As the unfurling of departmental banners alongside deans and heads of each department within the institution took full effect, and delivery for the College Intramurals for 2025-2026 by University President, Dr. Javier Herminio D. Bautista, it signified the exuberant nature of UB in educational excellence, extracurricular flair, and the love for athleticism that fuels students and members with passion and perseverance.

The event unfolded with the cheering exhibitions and routines of each team (led by the various departments) on the gymnasium floor, filling the atmosphere with rampant cheers in the ultimate showdown of skills and cultivated discipline—including an exhibition play from the different athletes nurtured by the university.

Title holders from the event have also been announced on the day itself, crowning various departments in their respective places and achievements in the following:
OVERALL RANKING:
- Champion: School of Natural Sciences (SNS)
- 1st Runner-Up: School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM)
- 2nd Runner-Up: School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA)
SECONDARY AWARDS AND RECOGNITIONS:
- Overall Best Cheering Team: School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA)
- Overall Best Mascot: School of Natural Sciences (SNS)
- Overall Best Muse: School of Natural Sciences (SNS)
Presenting the title for overall champion for the 2025 College Intramurals (cheering competition) to the School of Natural Sciences (SNS), honoring their hard-earned victories, dedication, and competitive advantage above the rest. Following suit on the winning table is the School of International Hospitality and Management (SIHTM), as the 1st runner-up, and the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA), completing the podium with the 2nd runner-up position.

As the annual intramurals set foot into another academic year, the spirit and sport represent a celebration of teamwork and a facilitation of quality education in a fun learning environment. Dedicated to serving the UB community to pursue their academic and professional aspirations, activities, and events that serve as an integral opportunity and grounds for students to venture into the world outside the academic halls of the institution.
