The University of Baguio, spearheaded by the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), will be holding a free concert for university freshmen on August 30, 2024 at the UB Cardinal’s Gym, ending UB’s welcome week with a bang.
The concert will feature critically-acclaimed pinoy alternative rock group Hale, most known for their studio albums, self-titled Hale (2005) and Twilight (2006). Their single, “The Day You Said Goodnight”, has received mainstream success in the Southeast Asia music scene. Their current line-up includes lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Champ Liu Pio, lead guitarist and backing vocalist Roll Martinez, bassist Sheldon Galleda, drummer Paolo Santiago, and violinist and keyboardist Chino David (formerly from Silent Sanctuary).

The concert will also feature performances from the UB Performing Arts and a selection of other local student artists.
A total of 250 tickets will be distributed per school, which freshmen can claim at their respective Dean’s Offices. The doors will open at 4:00 pm, and the concert proper will begin at 5:00 pm.
See you there, UBians!
