The University of Baguio successfully completed its Second Phase ISO Internal Audit on March 19, 2025, reinforcing its dedication to upholding global standards in education. The audit is held in compliance with ISO 21001:2018, which focuses on educational organizations and their services and products.
Internal audits are integral to ensuring that the university’s overall performance is consistent with the requirements of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). They also maintain the Educational Organization Management System (EOMS), allowing the institution to pinpoint areas for improvement and further strengthen the areas where the university is most efficient.

The internal audit formally began on March 18, 2025. The assigned auditors went from office to office, interviewing the staff regarding their management practices and noting the availability of information, existing policies and procedural guidelines, and which processes should be documented for internal guidance.

The following day, on March 19, 2025, the culminating ceremony took place at the UB Centennial Hall. Members of the university Management Team, along with the internal auditors, gathered to discuss the results of the audit in detail. The findings discussed will serve as guidance for the next few months, highlighting the strengths that the university’s different offices should maintain and marking out areas for improvement that they will benefit from addressing in the short and long term.
Overall, the internal audit was a success. Each of the participating offices had areas for improvement but they all demonstrated a strong commitment to meeting the quality standards set by the ISO. The university’s continued participation in internal and external audits reaffirms its commitment to providing world-class education and auxiliary services at every level, ensuring that it is able to address the needs of the student body at all times.
