UB hosts PACU Delegation for Expanded Board Meeting

In the spirit of collaboration, the University of Baguio proudly opened its doors and hosted the expanded board meeting of the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities (PACU) – Luzon at the university’s Centennial Hall. This prestigious gathering served as a crucial platform for cooperation among leaders in Philippine higher education, fostering dynamic discussions and initiatives that aim to enhance the quality and reach of education across the country.

Members of the university’s leadership and top management extended a warm welcome to the representatives of PACU. Chairman of the Board Dr. Zorba Bnn Bautista and UB President Engr. Javier Herminio Bautista personally greeted the delegation alongside members of the top management, namely Vice President for Administration Atty. Rommel Ayson and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Janice Kaylyn Lonogan. 

The reception featured captivating performances from the UB Performing Arts. The UB UBBUK gave the representatives a thrilling experience of Cordilleran culture with their traditional dance ensemble, while the UB Voices Chorale put on a rousing musical number that captivated the audience with its harmonies. The School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) also played a hand in the ceremonies, with UB’s in-house Chef and culinary students providing the meals that the delegation happily partook in.

The university is nothing if not dedicated to ensuring that it can be the catalyst for positive change within the community. Being the host of events such as the PACU – Luzon Expanded Board Meeting is only one in dozens of initiatives that the university has taken in its journey to aid in the evolution of the landscape of higher education.
