University of Baguio graduates Carlo Paalam and Nesthy Petecio have been chosen to lead the Philippine delegation as flagbearers for the opening ceremonies of the Paris Olympics 2024 set to take place this July 26, 2024.
Paalam and Petecio qualified alongside fellow alumni Aira Villegas and Eumir Marcial, who also cinched spots for the Olympics following their qualifiers in March and May. They are among the fifteen (15) Filipino athletes who have currently managed to secure their spot for the prestigious athletic event. With several other athletes following their trail of victory, this year’s Olympics promises to be a show of Philippine excellence.
