The University of Baguio warmly welcomed home its brilliant alumni Atty. Doris Andres-Able for the commencement of the baccalaureate rites at the UB Cardinal’s Gym, bringing her back to the esteemed halls of her alma mater to give a rousing speech to the promising young men and women who will be graduating this coming January 13, 2024.
“This event marks not just the culmination of years of hard work and dedication, but also the beginning of a new chapter in the lives of our graduates.”
Atty. Andres-Able is a graduate of the School of Natural Sciences, an exceptional Physical Therapist who has been honing her craft since 1999 both in the Philippines and overseas in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. She founded Ablebodies Physical Therapy Clinic, serving as its Chief Physical Therapist and CEO from 2018 to the present day. She also earned her Bachelor of Laws and Letters in 2015, going on to serve as an Attorney at Law and Litigation Lawyer at Able Law Office, as well as an Associate Lawyer for the Law Offices of Damasen and Subia.
“These goals that you have will lead you in the right direction. Focus on it, and work hard for it, and everything that you dream will soon become a reality.”
As the graduating batch of January 2024 took to their seats, an air of jubilance and excitement filled all the corners of the gymnasium. The eager anticipation of the upcoming graduation ceremony manifested itself in zealous enthusiasm, with students hanging onto every spoken word as soon as they came through the speakers. Dressed in their togas, the moment was exhilarating and filled with valuable lessons that the students will be able to take with them even long after leaving the university.
“Graduates, stand tall and proud as you embark on a bigger journey in your life. Carry with you the core values that our beloved school has instilled in you. Someday, you will be standing in this very same spot I am standing on.”
With heart and integrity, Atty. Andres-Able spoke of overcoming obstacles and unexpected circumstances, encouraging the students to pursue their dreams and aspirations with their heads held high. The future that awaits them might be uncertain, but that doesn’t mean they have to face it with fear. As graduates of UB, their training at the university has prepared them for the journey ahead with the utmost care. Though their paths continue ever onwards, their years spent studying will remain with them as they continue to the next chapter of their lives.
