In its pursuit of providing balanced quality education at every level, the University of Baguio (UB) welcomed the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) for an evaluation of the university’s ETEEAP processes and procedures.
Standing for Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program, the ETEEAP is an alternative education program that bridges the gap between professionals and a formal college degree. Through this program, working professionals with five or more years of work experience can apply their learned skills and knowledge to earn a degree without having to go through traditional schooling methods.

The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) branch of CHED sent a team of representatives and the ETEEAP Technical Panel to ensure the university’s programs remain up to par with national standards. Among the schools evaluated were the School of Business Administration and Accountancy (SBAA), the School of Criminal Justice and Public Safety (SCJPS), the School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM), the School of Information Technology (SIT), and the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA).
The panel and representatives also reviewed the different student support offices, ensuring that the university can provide adequate supplementary services to facilitate a smoother educational journey.
This evaluation underscores UB’s commitment to maintaining high standards of education that are accessible to everyone at every level. By embracing initiatives like the ETEEAP and undergoing regular assessments, the university reaffirms its dedication to fostering lifelong learning and aligning with national and global benchmarks.
