Other Posts

In its pursuit of supporting the community and providing services to meet the needs of the general public, the University of Baguio is gearing up to offer Travel and Business Consultation Services this coming February 22, 2024, at Malcolm Square from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

The program is a joint venture between the School of Business Administration and Accountancy (SBAA), the School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM), the Human Resource Management Center (HRMC), the Finance Department, and the Research Innovation Extension and Community Outreach (RIECO) Office. The event seeks to make specialized services in the realm of travel and business accessible to the community. With services ranging from assistance in processing passports to business process consultations and taxation consultations, the event will lend a helping hand to those requiring services in these particular fields.

“Our beneficiary is the community because that’s the goal of our clustered outreach activity for the closing of the 75th university foundation. Our goal is to immerse the university with the community, that’s why our target participants are the community residents of Baguio.”

– Michelle Ann Pasca Chomayag, RIECO

The Travel and Business Consultation Services program is only the first in a series of cluster events being organized by the RIECO Office. This coming March, they’re co-planning consultation events with the School of Information Technology (SIT), the Athletics Office, the Campus Planning and Development Office (CPDO), and the Management Information Systems (MIS) Office to be able to provide free computer services such as free formatting, virus-scanning, and installation of computer software. They are also organizing a consultation services event in collaboration with the School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA) where they will be offering assistance and guidance concerning processing the necessary permits when it comes to construction, waste management, and other adjacent fields.

With the joint effort of the university’s students, faculty, and non-teaching staff, the upcoming events will be promising endeavors leading towards making integral services accessible to the general public. Look forward to the upcoming Travel and Business Consultation Services, as well as the upcoming events this March.
