Nanay Rosa Castillo Bautista left an incredible legacy when she founded the University of Baguio alongside her husband. Her contributions to the landscape of education remain ingrained in every aspect of the university today, touching the hearts of thousands of students and driving them to new heights in their journey to become the next generation of brilliant professionals.

Come catch a glimpse of this year’s celebrations, commemorating over a century of love, devotion, and academic excellence from one of the university’s guiding pillars.

The celebration kicked off with a Eucharistic Mass held at the university’s chapel. Attended by family, friends, and esteemed guests and university staff, the mass was dedicated to remembering the life and achievements of the late Nanay Rosa.

Following the mass, the delegation then went out to the Founder’s Garden for a blessing ceremony before proceeding to the ringing of the university’s bell by UB President Engr. Javier Herminio Bautista alongside family members as a symbol of commemoration of the occasion.

After the bell-ringing, the delegation then moved on to the new Admissions and Records Center (ARC), where the priest then proceeded to bless the new workspace. The ARC recently transferred offices, and this part of the program was to pave the way for the office staff to formally settle into their new working area.

The final part of the program was a celebratory branch for the Bautista family, guests, members of the UB Management, and retirees at the university Centennial Hall.
