The College of Local Administration (COLA) at Khon Kaen University is currently hosting the First International Conference on Public Affairs, with the theme “Harnessing the Power of AI and Treasuring Public Values.” This prestigious gathering brings together distinguished guests and researchers from around the globe to exchange insights and share contributions on the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in public affairs.

One of the key highlights of the conference is the plenary roundtable panel sessions, where esteemed experts engage in an interactive discussions. Topics include the challenges and opportunities in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the dynamic interplay between public affairs and the digital age, and the innovative application of AI in higher education. These sessions highlight the vital role of AI in addressing contemporary issues while preserving fundamental public values.

Adding depth to the event, breakout rooms feature researchers from various universities presenting their studies on the following topics; 

  1. Good Governance and Service Delivery in the AI Era 
  2. Social Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Age of AI
  3. Digital Tools and Technologies in Public Affairs
  4. Global Perspectives on Public Service and AI.”

In addition to the key highlights of the event, the organizer of the event, COLA of Khon Kaen University, recognized its co-hosts and sponsors, including the University of Baguio. A Plaque of recognition was given as a symbolism of a strong commitment and shared purpose. 

Lastly, this First International Conference on Public Affairs is proving to be a transformative platform for bridging AI advancements and public values, inspiring future innovations in governance and public service.
