We at the Extension and Community Outreach Services office is the primary link of the University of Baguio to the community. We foster the spirit of volunteerism, community, and development through the delivery of immediate, responsive and sustainable outreach and extension programs to address societal concerns.
ECOS News Updates Story
The University of Baguio (UB) recently held the UB Bikers event, a fundraising activity aimed at supporting various causes while promoting a healthy lifestyle. With the participation of bikers from different organizations, including esteemed guest Baguio City Mayor Benjamin B. Magalong, the event showcased the community’s commitment to making a difference. Children, teenagers, and alumni of UB, along with faculty and students, came together to contribute their efforts and create a positive impact. The event not only raised funds for charitable organizations but also emphasized the importance of physical and mental well-being.
Embracing The Spirit of Community – UB Outreach Activity at Alejo M Pacalso Memorial National High School
UB’s OSA leads students from different schools of the University of Baguio, along with members of the supreme student council and Mr. and Ms. UB candidates, to an outreach at the Alejo M Pacalso Memorial National High School
Visually impaired members of the V.I.P.P.D. attended a lecture-consultation by STELA and SBAA. The goal was to assist them in managing their finances and business sustainably. Dr. Candido Perez discussed entrepreneurship, while Mr. John V. Balanquit talked about personal finance. Attendees had the chance to ask about maintaining a business, effective product marketing, and finding reliable suppliers.
Dugong UB continues to help thanks to UB’s School of Natural Sciences through the UB CARES Program.
UB’s STELA spearheads three different outreach with each focusing on different advocacies. A mix of STELA students, organizations, and exchange students from Thailand helped out in making all three outreach a success.
UB’s SEA, SBAA, and SIT joins forces with the ECOS team to help out the community of Barangay Lucnab.

In support of the university’s mission-vision and objectives, the Extension and Community Outreach Services aims to:
- care and portray goodwill and compassion for the underprivileged;
- act with pure intention in extending assistance to the populace;
- renew hope through informal education, skills training and human advancement;
- engage zealously in the conduct of relevant community researches;
- transform individuals to become pillars of continuing and sustainable development; and
- display beneficial relationships rooted in trust and interdependence.
