The University of Baguio is gearing up to participate in this year’s Handog ng Panagbenga sa Pamilya ng Baguio event, which will be taking place on February 9, 2025, at Melvin Jones.
Spearheaded by the Office of Student Affairs and in partnership with the Supreme Student Council and the university’s different schools, the event is set to provide fun activities as well as assistive services that aim to engage and provide aid to the local community.
The School of Business Administration and Accountancy (SBAA) alongside the School of Teacher Education and Liberal Arts (STELA) will be holding marketing games and pot painting and coloring activities, while the School of Law (SOL) will be offering legal assistance. The School of Engineering and Architecture (SEA) and the School of Information Technology (SIT) will be collaborating to bring a photo booth, face painting, mobots (mobility robots), the wire game, and a mascot showcase.
The Allied Medical Sciences, which consists of the School of Nursing (SON), the School of Natural Sciences (SNS), and the School of Dentistry (SOD) will be providing blood pressure monitoring services and random blood sugar testing. The School of International Hospitality and Tourism Management (SIHTM) will be manning a booth that will serve out juices and cocktails to attendees, while the School of Criminal Justice and Public Safety will be in charge of security.
The university’s performing arts groups – the UBBUK (University of Baguio Bibak Ubbun Kaafuan), the UB Graces, and the UB Voices – will also put on a cultural showcase through their performances.
Look forward to a weekend of exciting activities and meaningful community engagement as the University of Baguio takes part in Handog ng Panagbenga sa Pamilya ng Baguio.
See you there, UBians!
