Why I Chose University of Baguio
Working abroad as a corporate executive chef is an achievement for me. But despite what I was already enjoying as well as being able to provide for my family, there is still emptiness in me. I constantly told myself how well I was doing compared to others despite not completing my education.
In search of more growth and better opportunities. I knew there is still lacking. It is to continue schooling and to complete my bachelor’s degree.
When I found out about the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Acceleration Program of the University of Baguio, I grabbed the opportunity and enrolled in The School of International Hospitality & Tourism Management.
It’s really overwhelming, working here in Qatar, and studying virtually at the same time. I had to work smarter and work harder.
I pursued the degree of Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management which is much related to my work.
Truly, the ETEEAP program at the University of Baguio became instrumental to my academic journey. I am more proud of myself now. Thank you very much to all my teachers namely, Ma’am Melanie, Ma’am Jennylyn, Ma’am Jennifer, Ma’am Joy, Ma’am Krisdale, Ma’am Joanna, Ma’am Jessica, Ma’am Rizalina, Ma’am Josefa and Sir Alvin.
