SCHOOL OF TEACHER EDUCATION

 

The School of Teacher Education is committed to create a dynamic academic environment conducive to the development of globally competitive professional teachers whose personal qualities and professional competencies are functionally maximized.

 

OBJECTIVES

 

          The School of Teacher Education aims to produce a graduate who:

 

  1. actualizes high academic proficiency in the domains of learning;
  2. facilitates effectively and efficiently in a learning environment conducive to diverse learners;
  3. imbibes a strong sense of professionalism as embodied in the Code of Ethics for teachers;
  4. undertakes researches in addressing the current trends in education;
  5. advocates environmental protection and preservation for sustainable development; and
  6. exemplifies the highest standards and practicesofprofessional teachers.

  4. Apply skills in curriculum development, lesson planning, materials development, instructional delivery and educational assessment.

  8. Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the development of elementary learners.

  10. Create and utilize materials appropriate to the elementary level to enhance teaching and learning.

Bachelor of Secondary Education

INTERNATIONAL ON-THE-JOB-TRAINING

 

          The School of Teacher Education has partnership with Collage of Asian Scholars at Khon Kaen, Thailand where the qualified student teachers can have their student teaching.

 

 

CENTER OF DEVELOPMENT

 

The Schoolof Teacher Education was awarded by the Commission on Higher Education asCenter of Development in Teacher Education effective April 1, 2016 to December 31, 2018. Given on May 17, 2016 at UP Diliman, Quezon City, Philippines.
