RAIKKA, DOCTOR OF DENTAL MEDICINE

Raikka has a penchant for all things simple and classy.

She caught the fashion bug at age 16, and her style icon is German blogger Caroline Julius.

She listens to a lot of R&B, pop and trap music, and she loves Bonnie Bailey’s “Ever After” and John Legend’s “Ordinary People”.

Just like everyone else, it seems, she finds comfort in travelling and hanging out with friends.

Raikka has an infectious cheerful spirit.

She still binge-watches “How I Met Your Mother”.

On her personal style, she is one for the wardrobe basics.

“I go for anything black or white, and I’m into sneakers,” she says. “Each one of us has our own unique ways to feel good and look good. Each one of us has our own taste and interests. I believe style is something each of us already has – all we need to do is to find it. Hanging out with different people of different tastes and styles, I was inspired to create my own personal style,” she shares.

STYLE TIP FOR THE WEEK

The unpredictable weather of the City of Pines makes it a formidable job for us to switch from a daytime/sunny day look to a rainy day look. In this week’s segment, we have come up with styles and ways on how you can transform your outfit using the same elements. That being said, let’s take a look at how the featured look is transformed from laid-back to something a bit gunged-up.

One key factor is color. When you have a gut feeling that it’s gonna rain in the afternoon or the weather forecast says so, keep your colors to a minimum, or better yet, style a monochrome outfit which may include white, shades of gray, or shades of black.

Let’s start with the white top. For a sunny day spirit, grab some whites to keep your look flowy and breezy. And you cannot underestimate the power of white sneakers or slip-ons, which in this look complement the white tank and collared tops. For accessories, wearing a watch goes a long way simply because there’s just something that’s right about wearing one.

When the weather turns sour, all you have to do is add in a statement jacket, which in today’s case is a black leather jacket. For alternatives, you may opt for a bomber or a denim jacket. Pair it with some interesting pair of jeans and there you go, you can now steal your boyfriend’s motorbike.

Remember that part of understanding fashion is knowing how to throw together an outfit that is versatile especially when the weather is PMS-ing (or, yeah, when the weather is on a constant mood shift).
