The University of Baguio (UB) pocketed major awards at the 4th Alliance of Business Educators and Students of the Philippines Inc. (A-BEST) National Congress held in the City last March 3-4.
Marc Glendel Valdez finished as champion in the Finance Quiz Bee while Jeric Caga won second in the Marketing Quiz. Meanwhile, Chester Lee Gonzales secured the third spot in the Management Quiz Bee. Moreover, Kali Yantrel Martin was chosen as one of the Most Outstanding A-BEST Students in the Philippines.
On the other hand, in the group category, Freddie Adop Jr., Angela Cauilan, Kathleen Somera and Valdez were declared champions in the Business Concept Challenge, beating De La Salle University – Lipa, Nueva Vizcaya State University, Central Mindanao University, and Wesleyan University.
The UB team, composed by students from the UB School of Business Administration and Accountancy, also took home the Largest Delegation award. The team was accompanied by Belen Apostol and Christian Michelle Cacho.
The winners received certificates and cash prize.
